Small Business Invoicing Checklist
Use this checklist to keep invoices accurate, branded, and easy to pay — whether you bill weekly or monthly.
Before you send
Confirm client details, line items, taxes, discounts, currency, and payment terms. Double-check the due date and that your preferred payment method is listed clearly.
- Correct client name and email
- Accurate totals and currency
- Payment instructions included
- Template and branding look right
After you send
Track whether the invoice is pending or paid. Follow up a few days before the due date if needed, and update status as soon as payment arrives so your dashboard stays trustworthy.
Monthly review
Once a month, review overdue invoices, archive paid ones you no longer need in the active list, and note which clients consistently pay late. Easy Invoice’s analytics dashboard helps spot those patterns quickly.
